WISH YOU WERE HERE WITH VALENTINA BARABUFFI

Born in the quaint Tuscan town of Cortona, Valentina Barabuffi is an Italian photographer and journalist whose life is a tapestry of sun-drenched landscapes and cultural explorations. Now residing in Florence, her artistic pursuits have her traversing the Mediterranean, capturing its enchantment through her lens, yet her spirit remains deeply intertwined with the Italian soil.

Valentina's fascination with the Mediterranean is particularly evident in her portrayal of Puglia, a region where many of her relatives reside. She eloquently paints a picture of this area, noting the striking contrast between the deep blue sea and the stark white 'masserie', with ancient olive groves and time-worn trulli dotting the scenic routes from north to south.

Italy's rich heritage resonates with Valentina; she finds inspiration in everything from the architectural marvels to the coastal villages bathed in radiant light. Her home city's Renaissance art provides a constant source of awe and influence for her work.

Valentina's childhood was spent roaming the Tuscan countryside, absorbing lessons from nature and fostering a profound respect for Mother Earth. Today, she continues this journey with her son. Her work delves into the Mediterranean's allure, centering on its inherent beauty—a testament to Puglia's significant role in her Mediterranean romance.
